Eva Lindh Waterworth, PhD
Professor in Informatics at Umeå University, Sweden.

I am Professor of Informatics, and Manager of Q-Life, a research group within this department. We carry out research on the relationship between quality of life and information technology, in collaboration with local and other organisations. See my list of publications.

My main research interest is in exploring the use of information technology to improve quality of life and creativity, especially to help people with special needs. As well as working in several of our funded projects, I am currently a work package leader and administrative coordinator of AGNES: User-sensitive home-based systems for successful ageing in a networked society, funded by the AAL Joint Programme.

My educational background is in Business Administration and Informatics, and I have a PhD in Informatics, awarded in 2001. My thesis is entitled: Perceptually-Seductive Technology: designing computer support for everyday creativity. Contact me for more details. I have also taught at the department since 1987, devising and presenting a wide range of different courses for both the Systems Analysis and the Digital Media production programs.
