Jan Krystof: Towards an MDA-based realization of the presentation layer of software applications

Abstract: The aim of my research is to design an approach for model based development of Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) of software. This model based approach brings several benefits including design independence on target platform, less amount of programming and easier maintenance of resulting software. I will explain how it is possible to develop a layout of GUI, which covers issues such as model-model and model-text transformation, which are corner stones of Model Driven Architecture (MDA). Furthermore I will briefly introduce a UML modelling tool - Sparx Enterprise Architect and its features regarding the MDA.
