On CSCL, TVC, UMEA, IDWE, PUNC, etc: An overview of last years’ research
I have not been giving seminars at the Department for a while, so there are a number of things I would like to share with you. The seminar is intended to be an overview of some of my recent research activities, as well as plans for the future. They include:
- studies in CSCL (Computer Support for Collaborative Learning) dealing with the social context of collaborative distance learning and the role of personal technologies in education,
- design and testing of transient visual cues for scrolling (TVC),
- a system called UMEA, which stands for “User-Monitoring Environment for Activities”,
- interactive digital work environments (IDWE) in general,
- Phrase Usage Network Companion (PUNC)
Some of these current and future projects will be just briefly mentioned; some will be discussed in detail. In any case, your feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Välkomna! Daniel Skog
