Torbjörn Nordström: Towards a theory of informaction systems

This seminar presents an embryo of a theory for informaction systems. Informaction systems are units of IT-artefacts and organisational agents co-producing actions that (partly) constitute the business processes in IT-dependent organisations. In IT-dependent organisations knowledge of such units is important for the crucial task to sustain and further develop the relationship between informaction systems and business processes. The embryo of a theory presented is part of my PhD. thesis with the preliminary title "Informaction systems stewardship" and I invite all kinds of critical comments that might help me improve the theory. For that reason three persons have been asked to read parts of the thesis manuscript in advance and prepare questions for a discussion of the theory. More copies can be arranged for those who are interested in being really critical at the seminar.
