Douglas Schuler, Evergreen University, USA: Community Networks - now and in the future

In an era of declining communities, grassroots activists all over the world are building community networks designed to reinvigorate communities by encouraging dialogue and providing a forum for voices that too often go unheard. In the seminar a historical overview of the field will be presented, followed by a discussion on the future of community networks.
