Erik Stolterman: Making a case for design

I want to present and discuss design as a distinct tradition and approach in relation to other traditions, such as science, technology, and art. Design can be understood as "the first tradition" -- as a tradition characterized by judgment and aesthetics, focused on intentional actions. My presentation will be based on the work done together with Prof. Harold Nelson, Antioch University, and on a forthcoming book preliminary titled "Creating a Design Culture".
