Information technology and experience
One major concern today is the technological transformation of artifacts and human relations to new forms and shapes. This is especially true in areas where information technology more explicitly are being design and used to stimulate and attract human senses and emotions.
Inspried and based on ideas of among others Albert Borgmann, Don Ihde, Kevin Robins and Sherry Turkle this seminar will focus on the relationship between information technology and experience in the particular domains of virtual communities and advanced visualization techniques.
The ideas presented comprise to a large extent the theoretical base in my coming licentiat thesis. During the seminar I will discuss peoples relationship with technology using experiences as an analytical tool. I would like to discuss visualization techniques and virtual communities as transformers of experience that effect our ways of relating to the world.
Välkommna! Kenneth Nilsson
