The INFOSOND Project
The Infosond project involves 9 European cities in a joint effort in developing electronic services delivered to the home. The Swedish partner is the City of Stockholm. The project is a two year effort starting January 1 1996.
So far, investigations on user requirements, prototype construction, and a scheme for evaluations have been produced. Olov Forsgren and myself have been involved primarily with investigating user requirements and making evaluation plans. We have also tried to co-ordinate these activities among the cities.
In the seminar, I intend to share with you our results so far and our plans for the evaluation so as to give you all a possibility to on the one hand judge our success in providing user requirements as a sound foundation for the work, and on the other hand to have some influence regarding method and contents of our evaluation plans.
We have also spent some time on the prototype design, but we will leave that out of the discussions this time.
If there is interest, there might also be room for a few words about the hardships involved in trying to realize European cooperation in a volatile area like IT.
The seminar will be held in English if any of the attendees do not understand Swedish, otherwise I will stick to my mother tongue.
Välkommna! Kenneth Nilsson
