Torsten Nilsson: The Museum Database SOFIE and Its Development Process

The seminar is aimed as a presentation of the museum database SOFIE, developed at Västerbottens museum. My main purpose is to give the audience an overview picture of what has been going on at the museum since I started there almost two years ago.

I will briefly present the program and then focus on the development process. I will bring up some presuppostions made, difficulties encountered and also some examples of successfull solutions to various problems.

There will be plenty of time for discussion. I will not myself at this time bring up specific research questions but the audience is welcome to raise all kind of such issues.
