Activity theory perspective in Human Computer Interaction
The first part of the presentation will briefly summarize the previous discussion, which took place on September 27, with a list of limitations the cognitive approach appears to have as a theory of human computer interaction (HCI). Basic principles of activity theory will be exposed during the second part of the seminar, which is essentially going to be an introduction into this theoretical approach. Implications of activity theory for current problems in the field of HCI, as well as potential contribution of activity theory to a prospective theory of HCI, will be discussed in the concluding part of the seminar. Questions, suggestions, and criticisms are most welcome.
Välkommna! Kenneth Nilsson
